Oakland Gems
"Oakland Gems", (With numerous community participants), (detail view), 1995, Nova acrylics on plywood construction panels, eight feet high by five hundred feet wide. Twenty-five of Oakland's architectural historic treasures were painted in a stained glass window motif on the temporary construction fencing around what is now the Elihu Harris State Building at 14th and Clay Streets in downtown Oakland. Commissioned by Oakland Department of Public Works. Special thanks to Dwight Legaspi, Chris Page and Kayra McConnell.
